Our world changed with COVID-19, and the Learning and Community Engagement team at Ocean Networks Canada could no longer visit classrooms. In April 2019, we launched a new “Learning at Home” website with activities and videos. By hosting virtual workshops in classrooms, delivering professional development sessions online, and collaborating remotely with Indigenous communities, our team pivoted our delivery method from in-person to virtually. Join us to learn from our experiences, both successes and challenges. As our future moves towards guest presenters joining virtual classrooms, participants will leave knowing how to get the most out of inviting guests to their classes.
